Casio Exilim EX-S5 10.1MP Digital Camera with 3x Optical Zoom and 2.7 inch LCD
In all my household has owned 4 Casio cameras and this was the cheapest put together one I have seen. I will say when I recieved it the screen would not turn on. The cover for the battery and SD card is made of thin plastic. I don’t like this because i have had then crack on other brand cameras before. Also, the shinny exterior shows fingerprints badly and is very easy to scratch. I returned it to Amazon and their return process was very easy and convinent.

this camera is excellent, till in the darkness o night, this work like the day, and is compact without to affect the quality.

I used this camera for work. I put the pictures into reports and need to have smaller picture sizes; so i use the 2M/Normal setting which gets me roughly a 120k picture per shot. I have had to purchase a different camera because this one does a terrible job in anything other than a very bright setting. The low(or moderate) light level pictures are all too dark and are almost unusable. I have found that by changing the EV setting to +1.3, it will brighten the pictures, but you need to reset this value everytime you turn the camera back on, so it’s pretty painful if you turn the camera on and off often, like i do. I realize this camera is priced fairly reasonable, but i believe you can find a better camera for the money.

A lot of Casio’s EX series of camera’s can record video at 1280×720x24 fps (720p) but the EX-S5 cannot. The max resolution for the S5 is 848×480x30fps. The details on Amazon’s listing are incorrect. Because there are camera’s in this price range that do record 720p video, I’ll be returning this sweet little number and getting one of those instead.
