type G will not fit the handycam so I sent it back have not heared back from it.

This battery loses charge (while idle) at too high a rate high rate.

Needed a new battery when the original battery began dying more and more often. Another reviewer noted that their replacement battery, like this one, had a very long charge life. I found mine to be average. It is definitely handy to have at least two on hand.

During a recent trip to scenic Colorado, I put this battery to the test, and it passed with flying colors. This device packs an added bonus of displaying how much time you have left on the charge. I got this battery as an extra so I could be recharging one while shooting pictures on the power of the other. The Sony charger is very simple to use. The battery and charger are an excellent combination.
